The basic broth is cooked with fresh herbs as shallots, the kaffir leaves of lime, lemon grass, & galangal. Usually the soup gets topped with sprinkling of chopped coriander leaves

The ingredients required for cooking: 6 white onions julienned, 8 ounces of fresh ginger root, 6 julienned red bell peppers, 1 thinly sliced celery stalk, 2 chopped green chile peppers,, 2 lemon grass chopped well,, 1/2 cup oyster sauce, 1 cup of soy sauce, 4 ounces of tom yum soup paste, 14 quarters of chicken broth, 6 pieces of nicely cut 1/2 lbs. skinless boneless chicken breast halves, 1 cup karengo and 1 tsp. of sesame oil.


Following is the method for cooking Tom Yum soup
1. Grab your large sized cooking pot to brown the, onions, red bell peppers, celery, chile peppers, ginger, & lemongrass, in the sesame oil.
2. Add chicken stockings and bring the contents to a boil for 5 minutes only.
3. Add lime leaves, oyster sauce, soy sauce, tom yum paste and cut up chicken.
4. Simmer for 20 minutes and then check the seasoning.
5. If needed, put in more oyster sauce.
6. Now add the seaweed after which you should adorn it with the cilantro and serve to satisfy the taste buds.
